Hi bros

My confirm pair produced some eggs over the weekend...but the eggs got eaten up monday evening...

today i saw the female discus has a slight clamp fin n one eye a little cloudy..n some white patches on body..

i put a divider between the male and female as i tink the white patches could come from fighting/being bitten by male

I put in salt - 4 teaspoons and Seachem's paraguard. Is this enough?

Tank= 2 ft

Bare botton with sponge filter( with active carbon)

WC - once every 2 days. (20%)

Food: BW/ Tetra Bits...

I have never seen any improvement with Melafix/primafix and from my knowledge of other users, they also report the same. I think you need to be looking at larger water changes right now. Cloudy eyes can stem from bad water conditions, bacteria, so up the water volume changes for now. No med needed yet.
And, just because there is a med for each pronblem 'we think' we are seeing, does not mean we should dump in medication right away. For me, good water is the best medication our fish need.

But how sure are you about the quality of our local waters?? Blur eye is a secondary infection, try adding 1.5 soup spoon of salt (high high like a mountain) and jap yellow powder. That should go away in about 4days or maybe faster.
